I’m Shay Bocks, a brand and web designer who helps food & lifestyle bloggers take the leap from blog to business. We work together to design a brand that brings their vision to life, and develop a website that works as hard as they do! My approach is all about creating a clear, compelling site for them that will leverage their strengths: their content, their personality, and their products. But what I love most is helping them feel confident online — with a platform to share their gifts and grow with purpose.

Tony Zeoli

Tony Zeoli is the founder of Digital Strategy Works (digitalstrategyworks.com), a 6-year old Asheville-based digital strategy consulting company developing elegant WordPress solutions with social media and SEO integrations for media and entertainment, restaurant, non-profit, and other small business and startup clients.

Tony has a solid background in product development, scrum/agile project management, information architecture, and content marketing, including search engine optimization and analytics. He has worked on hundreds of digital projects for startups and corporations, including Cablevision, the Associated Press, Target, WetSeal, 1-800-Flowers, Epic Records, Zondervan, Building Link, and UNC Chapel Hill.

In the past, Tony has presented at WordCamps NYC, Raleigh, and Asheville and he was the founding organizer of WordPress Westchester and WordPress Chapel Hill. Recently, Tony joined the All in One SEO team at Semper Fi Web Design to assist the company in a part time capacity as Community Manager.

Tony is also an accomplished house music DJ (@djtonyz) and founder of Netmix.com (@netmix), where he hosts the Netmix Global House Sessions Podcast. He is also mixshow DJ and radio host of the Asheville House Music Society (@avlhms / avlhms.com) radio show on AshevilleFM.org at 103.3-LP FM in Asheville, NC.

Cameron Barrett

Cameron (@camworld) pioneered the blog format in the late 1990s. He’s built web sites for presidential candidates, the U.S. Army, the World Economic Forum and led the migration of 70+ web sites from a proprietary SaaS to WordPress for NJ’s largest public school district. He’s now migrating all 14,000+ U.S. public school districts to WordPress, saving millions of taxpayer dollars. He hails from Northern Michigan and currently lives outside of NYC with his family.

Michelle Martello

Michelle Martello has over 15 years of experience helping individuals, businesses, and government agencies succeed by creating dynamic, memorable and functional websites, online exhibits and interactive e-learning products. Michelle formed Minima Designs to provide high quality design and consulting services for thought leaders and agents of change by creating dynamic online and interactive experiences. Minima Designs has helped hundreds of clients define and achieve their business goals through consulting, custom WordPress websites, social media strategy and planning and other interactive media products. Michelle’s work has received several accolades, most notably, a 2011 Webby award for her design work on The Architect’s Virtual Capitol. In 2013, Michelle was invited to teach Advanced Web Design at the nationally acclaimed Virginia Commonwealth University. Michelle regularly shares her knowledge and experience at conferences and through online mentoring. An avid yogi, Michelle completed her 200 RYT program with Faith Hunter in Washington, DC. Michelle is also a co-founder of Project Yoga Richmond, a non-profit organization that offers donation based yoga and yoga-based educational programs to the greater Richmond community. Michelle lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband Zane and her upward dog Juno.

Jared Beasley

Jared Beasley tells brand stories as the Creative Director at Istoria, an interactive marketing agency in downtown Norfolk, VA. Jared is also a passionate photographer and curator of 757 Collective, the most popular Instagram hub in the Hampton Roads area.

Kyle Bondo

Kyle Bondo enjoys thinking about strategy, productivity and the nature of collaboration. He is the founder and CEO of Trenchbucket, a digital consultancy specializing in websites and web-based tools for companies that see themselves as tough, rugged, or have to get into the dirt to get the job done. Based just outside Washington DC in rural tech startup community of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Kyle is focused on finding creative and educational ways to coach organizations into embracing and utilizing web technology. Kyle has a Masters in Applied IT from George Mason University, and when not finding ways to make WordPress do new things, Kyle enjoys mountain bike racing, family time, and exploring the outdoors with nothing more than a map and compass.

Judith Chauvette

Coffee addict, photographer and somewhat regular blogger; I am a Virginia Beach native who is navigating life with my fiancée and our three kiddos. I’ve worked as a professional photographer since 2008, and have been running my business (Fresh Look Photography) since 2009, where we focus on genuine weddings and creating organic family portraits. Working as a photography instructor since 2012 at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art has also shaped my personal mission, and I am also very passionate about working with other photographers and small business owners in order to help them succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can be.

Shayna Diamond

Shayna is a freelance web developer specializing in custom WordPress theme development. Building on her background in jewelry design, she excels at combining form and function, beauty and practicality. Shayna earned her Bachelors of Science in Website Development and Interactive Communication from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and is an active member of the WordPress community. When not at the computer, Shayna can be found at her jeweler’s bench or in the field collecting rocks and minerals.

Steve Mortiboy

Steve is the Sales and Support Manager at Semper Fi Web Design, a North Carolina-based WordPress development company that develops some of the most popular plugins for WordPress. Steve is also co-organizer of the Raleigh WordPress Meetup group and of WordCamp Raleigh. He has been involved with the WordPress community for 6 years and has spoken at WordCamps and other conferences about WordPress.

Tim Bishop

I have worked with WordPress for more than 10 years and I operate a WordPress centric business. I also work as Tech Support at InMotion Hosting. I believe WordPress is the best web design platform available today. I am married to the most amazing Woman in the world, and have the 3 most amazing children in the world.

Benjamin Bond is a tech-savvy Virginia native who currently dwells in Portsmouth. As a longtime Software Engineer and Entrepreneur with infinite creativity, his expertise spans well over a decade. Benjamin’s key competencies lie in PHP, WordPress, Python, iOS, and Android Development. Drew is a front-end developer, WordPress developer and entrepreneur from Baltimore, MD. With more than five years of freelance experience and over 15 years of development experience, Drew consults clients around the world about their ecommerce needs. To give back to the community Drew regularly attends and speaks at WordCamp events and helps organize the Baltimore WordPress meetup and WordCamp Baltimore.

Nile Flores

Nile Flores is a long time WordPress designer and Developer. While she grew up a military brat, she’s settled in the St. Louis metro east region. Nile blogs at Blondish.net, where she covers topics on WordPress, Blogging, SEO, Social Media, and Web Design. She also loves contributing to WordPress, and that includes speaking at WordCamps across the United States. She loves helping people and supporting Open Source projects. In other news, Nile is a proud support member at Team Yoast. She also runs a 7,000 member Facebook group dedicated to helping WordPressers, called All About WordPress. Jeff Matson is the head of documentation for Rocketgenius, the creators of Gravity Forms. He is also the developer of the Heartbeat Control plugin. In his free time, you can find him on Friday nights on WP After Hours, or playing NBA Jam with Jeff Chandler.

Tracy Rotton is the Front-End Architect for RP3 Agency and is passionate about creating responsive web experiences for our clients. Helen Hou-Sandí is the Director of Platform Experience at 10up and a lead developer for the WordPress project. Though technically a New Yorker by birthplace and now living in the NYC metro, Helen grew up in Virginia Beach and still considers it her beloved hometown.

Michele is also the lead organizer of the Southern Illinois WordPress Meetup and teaches beginners and Intermediate WordPress for John A Logan College.
